Yoga as therapy

Yoga therapy is a program for treating and remedying disorders, illness, pain and other blockages to the body’s systems. These are time-tested techniques for increasing awareness and improving health and well-being.

Yoga therapy is an embodied practice, which activates at the physical level to bring about changes at the mental and emotional level. Change your mood, change your life. The true magic of this yoga form: it strengthens the nervous and endocrine systems simultaneously

Kundalini - the yoga of awareness

Kundalini yoga is known as the yoga of awareness. This practice leads us directly to our inner experience and to the physical wisdom of our body.

We practice kriyas – exercise sets that activate our nervous system, immune system and endocrine system. The changes can be felt quickly, which shows the active role we can take in our own health care.

Yoga works! But it needs to be practiced. Kundalini gives us tools for establishing new, healthy habits to change and maintain our health. We use physical movement (asanas), breathwork (pranayama) and nturition (ayurveda) to simply feel better and to treat disorders.

That’s the secret: develop a regular practice to become healthier, happier, more whole, and more connected and in your life.

High-stress living puts the nervous system on overdrive. We experience poor digestion, anxiety, insomnia, and the list goes on. Our hormones get thrown off, altering our emotional experience.

Kundalini yoga promotes balanced hormone production, which determine our moods, rhythms and many physical processes in the body.
